Mosi has been painting Sydney houses for more than ten years and still runs every job on site. That is deliberate. He quotes your house, he is there while it is being painted, and he is the one who walks it with you at the end. There is no estimator who wins the work and then disappears before anyone opens a tin.
Most of the work is within a few kilometres of where he lives, which is the other reason the standard holds. These are streets he drives down. A Paddington terrace with sash windows, an art deco block in Bondi, a beach house in Coogee taking salt off the water all year. Different buildings, different prep, and enough of them behind him to know what each one needs before the quote gets written.
BrushUp has grown on referrals and Google reviews rather than advertising, which only works if the last job was good. That is the whole business model, and it is why the prep does not get skipped when a week runs tight.

Quote what the job actually is
It is easy to win work by leaving prep out of a quote and finding it again as a variation once the furniture is already covered. We price the job we can see, we write the scope next to the number, and if something genuinely unforeseeable turns up behind a wall we stop and talk to you before spending your money.

Prep before paint, every time
Nearly every repaint failure we get called out to look at is a prep failure, not a paint failure. Sanding, filling, caulking, treating mould at the source, sealing bare and patched surfaces. It is the least visible part of the job and the part that decides whether it still looks right in five years.

Same crew from start to finish
The painters who start your house are the painters who finish it. Nobody turns up halfway through with a different standard and a different way of doing things, and you are not re-explaining the job to a new face every second morning.

Leave it better than we found it
Furniture back where it started, hardware back on, floors cleaned, site swept and the rubbish leaves in our van. We walk the job with you at the end and fix whatever you point at before we ask for the last payment.
The boring but important part
Ask for any of this on any quote you receive, ours included. A painter who cannot produce it quickly is telling you something.
We are fully licensed for painting work in NSW and carry public liability insurance. Ask and we will email the certificate of currency and the licence details the same day, without you having to chase it twice.
We are Dulux accredited, which means the product warranties on the systems we specify actually apply. It also means we get told when a product changes, which matters more than it sounds when you are matching a repaint to work done three years ago.
On commercial and strata sites we supply a site-specific SWMS with the quote as standard, along with the insurance and licence documents, because building managers and head contractors need all three before anyone gets through the door.
Our NSW painting licence number is 454091C, and we carry $10 million in public liability cover. Dulux accreditation is the only trade accreditation we hold, and the certificate of currency goes out the same day you ask.
